Description

THIS COURSE WILL REMAIN ACTIVE UNTIL NOVEMBER 15

CHRIS BIRKETT - COURSE TRAINER

Hello. I’m Chris Birkett, a media consultant, and your instructor. I have been executive consultant to the Telegraph Media Group, a senior executive at BBC News and the Deputy Head of Sky News, responsible for television, radio and digital output.

In this course, I will discuss the significance and challenges of using multiple media platforms. I’ll  be joined by some of the best media professionals to provide you with expert analysis of audience media habits and tips on how to customise news content on different media platforms.

This course is designed to help you engage with the evolving media landscape and show you how news organisations are responding to the changes in the habits of news audiences.

The course is divided into three sections:

    • Section 1 provides an overview of the course and introduces the course trainer and media experts.

• Section 2 describes the media platforms and analyses the news consumption habits of the audience.

• Section 3 demonstrates how news can be customised for different media platforms including mobile video, online and print.

In each section, you will be presented with a practical exercise based on the concepts discussed in the course.

You can complete this course within 5 hours across multiples sessions.
